Research

Our research deals with the classic rock pressure theories (squeezing rocks, swelling rocks), stability and deformation issues of TBMs in rock or soft ground, and geotechnical auxiliary measures (forepoling and face reinforcement, grouting in geological fault zones, artificial ground freezing, drainage). We are developing advanced numerical methods, models for coupled processes and demanding experimental techniques.
